Peller Reveals Intentional Car Smash Stunt with Carter Efe Led to New Gift Car

Nigerian streamer Peller, real name Habeeb Hamzat Adelaja, has confirmed that the February livestream in which he and fellow creator Carter Efe smashed each other’s cars was an intentional stunt that paid off. In a viral clip shared widely on X on March 22, 2026, Peller said, "Carterefe and I broke each other’s cars intentionally on a livestream. We can never do that in real life. We used money to find money and it worked. I ended up getting a new car as a gift."

The incident unfolded during Carter Efe’s livestream on February 21-22, when Carter Efe allegedly smashed the windshield of Peller’s Toyota Camry and Peller retaliated by damaging Carter Efe’s brand-new 2025 Toyota Corolla, which had been gifted to Carter Efe by businessman E-Money only days earlier. Clips from the stream show both men stepping on and breaking parts of the vehicles as the episode escalated into content-driven chaos.

The stunt drew swift backlash, with many fans calling it reckless and disrespectful toward the gifted car. Peller and Carter Efe subsequently visited E-Money’s mansion to apologize; E-Money expressed disappointment but ultimately forgave them. In a twist after the confrontation, E-Money reportedly gifted Peller a 2025 Toyota Corolla as well, and some reports say he gave Carter Efe cash, cited as about £5,000 (roughly ₦10 million), to cover repairs.

Peller has since framed the episode as a deliberate investment in publicity, repeating the line that they "used money to find money." He added that they would never stage such real-world destruction outside of a stream and even joked about using the new car to drive for Uber in Lagos to "increase income."
