Rising Nigerian Afrobeats artist Shoday has officially announced the release date for his debut album titled HYBRID. The announcement was made on January 27, 2026, through a heartfelt video post shared on his official accounts, confirming that the project will be released on February 6, 2026.
In the video, Shoday reflected on his journey to this point, describing the album as the result of years of growth and persistence. He spoke about his evolution from freestyles and small performance spaces to releasing a full body of work, noting that the process was challenging but authentic. According to him, every late night, doubt, and lesson played a role in shaping the sound of the album.
Shoday described HYBRID as a deeply personal project that represents him in his rawest form. He explained that the album captures his roots, growth, culture, and evolution, with each song carrying a piece of his story. He emphasized that the project is more than just an album, calling it a statement and a beginning. He also expressed gratitude to his fans, family, team, collaborators, producers, writers, and creatives who supported the project from start to finish.

Shoday, whose real name is Shodade Solomon Segun, is a Lagos based singer and songwriter known for songs such as Caution, Maradona, Dey 4 You, and Paparazzi. He began his creative journey as a content creator before transitioning fully into music, using Afrobeats and pop influences to express emotion, growth, and personal experience.
While no tracklist, featured artists, or cover art have been revealed yet, the announcement of HYBRID has positioned February 6 as a key date for fans of Nigerian music.
