The tour has produced several headline moments. Peller became the first African streamer to move parts of a tour by private jet and boat, and he set Africa’s highest-viewed single stream with peaks of about 260,000 concurrent viewers. Viral campus incidents, generous cash giveaways that have exceeded one million naira at certain stops, and explosive growth on Kick have all kept him trending, while a cross-platform presence of roughly 14 to 15 million TikTok followers has cemented his status as a national youth phenomenon.
Nigeria still supplies the largest pool of top talent. Carter Efe commands Twitch in Africa, with roughly 560,000 to 562,000 followers and a streaming career bolstered by his music success and celebrity-filled livestreams. Shank Comics remains a respected pioneer with about 258,000 to 259,000 Twitch followers and recently won Best Streamer 2026 at the SiGMA Africa Awards in Cape Town for his steady, community-focused content.
North Africa’s strongest figure, Ilyas El Maliki, continues to hold the continent’s largest raw follower count on Kick, with about 847,000-plus followers and a dominant Moroccan Darija-speaking fanbase. In pure numbers he leads, and on Twitch Carter Efe retains the top spot for that platform.
But in terms of current momentum, cultural impact, viewership peaks and on-ground relevance, Peller is the biggest streamer in Africa right now. His state tour has shifted attention away from platform-first metrics toward the tangible, city-by-city influence that marks a different kind of stardom.
The race remains tight and could change with a single big collaboration or a fresh viral moment. For now, Nigerian creators fill most of the top ranks, and the balance between raw followers and real-world reach is shaping who gets called the continent’s top streamer.
