Wizkid and Asake’s collaboration Jogodo has taken a commanding lead as Nigeria’s most-streamed song of 2026 on Spotify, reinforcing the duo’s dominance in the Afrobeats space.
Released in mid-January as part of REAL Vol.1, the track has amassed between 18 and 19 million global streams within weeks. It recorded the highest first-day debut on Spotify Nigeria with over 1.38 million streams and went on to set a new first-week national record of 6.63 million streams.
Jogodo has maintained the number-one position on Nigeria’s daily Spotify chart for several weeks, reflecting sustained listener demand rather than a short-lived surge. The track’s performance has also driven strong momentum for the REAL Vol.1 EP, positioning it as one of the fastest-rising Afrobeats projects of 2026.
