TikTok creator Emmanuel Obruste, better known as GehGeh, has set a new livestreaming milestone after attracting more than 130,000 concurrent viewers during a broadcast on his official account.

The session, hosted under his brand “GehGeh University of Wisdom and Understanding,” blended comedy, financial lessons, and direct fan interaction. GehGeh later revealed that the stream generated over $30,000 through TikTok’s in-app monetization features.

Rising to fame with viral skits and humorous takes on everyday struggles, GehGeh has built a large following by combining entertainment with mentorship. His recurring Wet 3 Class series where jokes meet financial cautionary tales has become a staple of his content, drawing audiences across Nigeria and beyond.

The August 21 livestream underscores the rapid growth of TikTok Live in Africa, where mobile-first audiences are increasingly turning to livestreams for both entertainment and education. For GehGeh, it marked one of the most significant achievements of his career and reinforced his status as a leading figure in Nigeria’s creator economy.
